Video Game Card Project

Two things I love are Art and Video Games, and if you’ve ever been in the Beacon Office at Presidio, then you know what I’m talking about. So during quarantine I decided to work on a project that combines both of my passions! I created these cards that tell you how to operate old video game systems. I made these to be used during the video game club during lunch time at Presidio, where we play on my collection of retro game systems. These old systems have a lot of buttons, and rely on a lot of tricks to get them to work. I’ve found it hard to help everyone at once with the constant technical difficulties that have come up. The consuls I’ve drawn are the Atari 2600, The Vectrex, Original Nintendo, Super Nintendo & The Twin Famicom. I plan on doing another set which will include the Nintendo 64, The Famicom, and Tips & Tricks for using each system. Now when you come play games in the Beacon Office you’ll have a resource to help you figure out how to use one of these relics of the past!

I used a micron pen for the outlines of the systems, and color pencils to fill them in. I laminated each card so that they can last in the ever changing environment that is our office!
